Organised by the China Film Foundation Wutianming Film Fund for Young Talents and exclusively sponsored by TCL, the 2023 Cannes International Film Festival - China’s New Talents Going Global Program will be held at the Cannes International Film Festival Market from 16 to 27 May 2023. This programme aims to discover outstanding young Chinese film works every year to be screened at the Cannes Film Market, and invite international film distributors, international sales, European film funds, international media and others to participate in the screening, promoting the innovative perspectives and pioneering expressions of young Chinese filmmakers to the world.

Since 2016, it has been eight years since the China Film Foundation Wutianming Film Fund for Young Talents pioneered a partnership with Cannes Film Market officials to set up a China Pavilion during the Cannes Film Festival. The China Pavilion has become one of the most important windows for Chinese cinema to communicate with the outside world, dedicated to building an international exchange platform for Chinese cinema, supporting and nurturing young Chinese filmmakers, and promoting Chinese cinema and Chinese youth cinema to connect with the international arena and develop in a long-term manner.

In the China Pavilion, we will organise a number of events on various levels, including Ning Hao's Master Class, International Cooperation Forum, Technology and Film Art Forum, Women in Film Forum, Global Young Filmmakers Roundtable, International Film Festival Selectors Roundtable, International Distribution Strategy Seminar, etc. We will invite internationally renowned filmmakers to gather at the China Pavilion to exchange and discuss international cooperation with young Chinese filmmakers. The three filmmakers will support this year's programme from different perspectives, opening up new frontiers for overseas exchanges for young Chinese films.
