Held annually in June, Annecy International Animation Film Festivalis the oldest of its kind in the world and is the major international event for the world’s largest number of industry professionals. It enjoys such a wide reputation that it is nicknamed as “Oscar” and “Cannes” in animation world.

To encourage Chinese broadcasting agencies to overcome the impact of the epidemic outbreak and actively participate in international television-topic festivals, the Information Office of the State Council and the National Radio and Television Administration signed up a “China Pavilion” at the 2020 Annecy International Animation Film Festival hosted by France from June 15 to 30. This is the first time that China participates online festival and explores brand-new forms of participation.
