International Communication Brand "Green Silk Road Journey" Results Release and New Project Launch

On May 10, the Roundtable on BRI Green Development and the General Assembly of BRI International Green Development Coalition were held in Beijing. As a representative of the "Belt and Road" Media Communication Union, WCC released the results of the first "Green Silk Road Journey" and launched the second activity.
The first "Green Silk Road Journey" was launched in July 2022, with the theme of "Carbon Reduction, Green Development - Green Silk Road Stories", and more than 200 works were collected from nearly 70 organizations. After two rounds of strict evaluation by experts, five outstanding cases were selected and adapted and produced as the series of "Green Silk Road Journey".
The programs selected for the first edition of "Green Silk Road Journey" include "A Letter from Sri Lanka", "Tech China all over the World", "Build Ecological Highway in North Africa", "The Water Control Journey of ASEAN Green Envoy", "Green Energy in the Desert", which focus on green infrastructure, green energy, green transportation and other initiatives to continue to benefit The content focuses on green infrastructure, green energy, green transportation and other initiatives that continue to benefit partners along the "Belt and Road". The series will be translated into multiple languages and broadcasted on TV stations and new media platforms in Russia, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Poland, Nigeria, Mozambique, Ghana, Tanzania, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Macau and other countries and regions from May 2023 onwards.

In 2023, the "Belt and Road" Media Communication Union and the BRI International Green Development Coalition will jointly launch the second "Green Silk Road Journey". Compared with the first edition, the project will have a richer theme and more diverse forms to reach the global audience, including the collection of excellent cases, original long documentaries and short videos, global media broadcasting, thematic offline activities, and the organization of global news reports.
The "Belt and Road" Media Communication Union was established in 2016, its membership has grown to 105 members from 44 countries and regions over the past seven years. The Union has launched the "Silk Road Time" TV program, which has disseminated more than 1,000 hours of China-themed and Silk Road-themed TV programs in localized languages to more than 600 million overseas viewers in more than 50 countries and regions.
