“China in My Lens", a documentary series produced by Communication University of China (CUC) and The Belt and Road Initiative Documentary Consortium (BriDoc), and produced by the School of Television of CUC and the CUC China Documentary Research Center, has been broadcast on CCTV-9 and Tencent Video, CCTV.com and CCTV Video from February 7 at 19:00 every night, and is broadcasted overseas

“China in My Lens" consists of 5 episodes, focusing on the work experience and creation stories of five internationally renowned documentary filmmakers in China, namely Vikram Channa (India), Malcolm Clarke (UK), Takeuchi Ryo (Japan), Andrew Field (USA) and Olivier Grandjean (France & Switzerland). Through in-depth interviews and documentary follow-ups, the film asks key questions such as "why did they come to China", "why did they record China", and "how do they present China to the world".

The five protagonists of “China in My Lens" come from different countries and have different experiences, but their work, lives and works are intertwined with the development of China in time and space, forming a clever intertextual and interactive relationship. They use their precious personal life experiences to feel and touch the development and transformation of China; they integrate their emotions into the narrative space and time of the work, which becomes the link between China and the world, thus creating the narrative tension and point of interest of the film.
