The third edition of the Mǎo International Youth Film Week will take place from Friday, 18 August to Sunday, 20 August 2023 (Beijing time).
Thematic Sections
The 3rd Mǎo International Youth Film Week has three thematic sections this year, including the "Mǎo" main competition section, the "Boiling More" limited theme section and the new directors section. Other sections will be announced during the week.
All films are eligible for selection in this category, regardless of subject matter or genre, whether they are feature films, documentaries, animations, experimental videos, etc., with a maximum duration of 60 minutes.

Application Information
The 3rd Mǎo International Youth Video Week will open for entries at 20:00 BST on 17 April 2023 and close at 24:00 BST on 30 July 2023.
Participants must fill in the application information and upload attachments and works as required on the official registration page of Mǎo International Youth Film Week (https://mifw-callforentries.mikecrm.com/u5ZxZxJ) before the deadline.
1、Entries should comply with the relevant laws, rules and regulations of the State Film Office, telecommunications, mass communication and Internet information dissemination, etc., and not contain elements of pornography, violence, etc., and not damage the public interest of society;
2. The work must be directly participated by the entrant, and the entrant must be the copyright holder or the representative of the copyright owner of the work;
3. The film to be exhibited must be shown in its original audio version, with bilingual subtitles preferred; foreign language, multilingual works and dialect works must be accompanied by Chinese subtitles;
4. The director or creator of the work must be between the ages of 18 and 45 (in the case of co-directed works, one of the directors is eligible);
5. The film must be produced after 1 July 2021;
6. If the work submitted for entry has already won or been shortlisted for any kind of award in other platforms or events and has been screened (including offline festivals and online limited channel screenings), the information must be stated on the entry form;
7. If the work submitted for registration has been released on an online public platform, it must meet the limit of no more than 3000 plays in total on each platform in order to be eligible for participation;
8. Works that have already been submitted to the previous Mǎo International Youth Video Week are not eligible for entry;
9. Screening conditions: The film will be screened in the partner's various art and cultural spaces, and the equipment will be mainly indoor and outdoor projection, 3D, 4K and other cinema conditions will not be supported for the time being.
